Tips for Mastering E-mail Overload
I found this to be a very good article that more people, particularly those using a
lot of email for business, should read!
Green Building Seminar Presentation
Yesterday I was one of four presenters at a Green Building Seminar. I gave a 30 minute presentation on my current project, the Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas. It was probably the first time I've given a presentation before that large of group - 100+ building professionals. Apparently I didn't mess it up too badly because I had several people give me favorable comments afterward.

Cory Doctorow and Ender's Game
Here's an interview with Cory Doctorow. He is a writer that I am starting to really like. There is a discussion about Orson Scott Card and Ender's Game, among many other things. You might find it interesting.

Stepping back from the perch where I took the pictures.
View from the ground looking up afterward. My knees were shaky!
Another view of the Cirque Du Soleil tents from a bird's eye view.
View looking straight down - it's a LONG way down! See how tiny the concrete truck looks?
View of the crane operator's cabin - not currently occupied or in use.
Up on the tower crane for the first time!
Another tower crane went up yesterday. Now there are two!
Oscar Night
Here goes again, only in abbreviated form this time. I don't have time to write what I previously wrote and lost.
Claudia and I watched the Academy Awards last night. This was perhaps the first time we had seen all five best picture nominees prior to the awards. All were good; I probably would have voted for The Aviator, but certainly Million Dollar Baby was very good too.
Seemed strange not having a Lord of the Rings to cheer for this year. I like Chris Rock, but I don't think he was a particularly inspired host last night. He seemed off his mark to me.
Argggh!
I just finished writing out a long post about the Oscars and clicked to publish it when it seemed to vanish into Neverland leaving only an error message. Unfortunately I did not copy it to my clipboard so I think it is lost. Not good! Oh well, maybe I should try to rewrite what I wrote?
One more...
OK, one more type of post before I send notices of this blog to my family.
This is a link to another search engine that I think is good:

RefDesk.com
This is another fairly well-known web resource.
Lists of Lists
This is a good source for all kinds of useful information.
Occasionally I may even post links to websites I find interesting.
More often than not, you will find me posting pictures of my favorite people, places, or things!
You may occasionally find me posting photos of my construction project here, the Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas.
This is a pcture of me and my wonderful family taken during the Christmas 2004 holidays.
Still getting to learn this blog business.
I have a lot to learn about posting to my new blog! It is not exactly intuitive, but I should get the hang of it before long.
